YAI has an immediate opening for an Assistant Behavioral Intervention Specialist to work in one of our Westchester County Residential Services Programs.
Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of treatment and behavioral goals for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Provide staff training, perform assessments, and work closely with the Behavior Intervention Specialist. Work hands on teaching life skills, provide group and individual counseling, and assist on recreational and community outings.
Requirements:
BA/BS required in psychology/counseling or related field; MA/MS a plus.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years related ID/DD or MH experience.
NYS Driver's License required. Must be able to drive program van.

Provide staff training, perform assessments, and work closely with the Behavior Intervention Specialist. Work hands on teaching life skills, provide group and individual counseling, and assist on recreational and community outings.

High School / GED required , BA/BS prefered in psychology/counseling or related field; MA/MS a plus.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years related ID/DD or MH experience.
